Our Approach
Have you ever noticed a neighbour's driveway cracking apart or having rocks come through just a couple years after it is paved? It's usually due to corners being cut in the paving process.
With Mercers, you can be confident that you are getting the best job possible as care is taken every step of the way. We start by digging off the surface of the driveway or lot before we remove rocks and unsuitable material. We then place a minimum of 6" of Class A road gravel, and then compact it as much as possible. On top of this we place our hot mix asphalt, usually 2.5", or as chosen by the customer.
